During the summer months, the English Department subscribes to Summer Reading for all students entering Fenwick in the fall. Join us in reading some of these classics this summer.

My Antonia is the conclusion of Cather’s prairie trilogy and usually considered her masterwork. The book is a tribute to the immigrants who settled the West. It is a story of hard work and determination as well as a comment on the role of women in the American expansion. In addition to the rich characters, the book is full of beautiful description of the Nebraska landscape.
